><p>Construction 3. and unit 4 of the nuclear power plant in Mochovce (MO34) is <strong>unique<\/strong> not only <strong>in Slovakia<\/strong>, but <strong>also in the EU<\/strong>, where only 4 new nuclear units are currently under construction &#8211; two of them in Mochovce. The capacity of each unit will be 471 MWe and one reactor <strong>will cover 13% of the electricity consumption<\/strong> in Slovakia. <\/p>\n<p>Compared to coal and gas-fired power plants, they will prevent 3. and Mochovce Unit 4 emit at least 5.2 million tonnes of CO2 into the air each year. That is, about as many as if more than two million cars and trucks disappeared from Slovak roads.
